Email tracking
ITALPLANT SRL informs data subjects that some communications sent by email may contain monitoring technologies, such as tracking pixels or similar tools, intended to detect the opening of messages and any interactions with their content.
These technologies may allow the collection of information such as the date and time an email is opened, any interactions with links contained in the message and, where technically available, information about the device, software or email client used. Monitoring may take place through the loading of small, generally invisible resources embedded in the content of communications.
The collected data are processed to analyze the effectiveness of communications, manage and improve informational and commercial activities and, where applicable, improve the services offered, in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency and personal data minimization.
Individual monitoring of email communications for the above purposes is carried out, where required by applicable law, only after obtaining the data subject’s freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, where applicable, without prejudice to any exceptions provided by law.
Consent to monitoring is optional and separate from any consent to receive commercial and marketing communications. Failure to give or withdrawal of consent to monitoring does not affect the possibility of receiving email communications for which an independent and valid legal basis exists.
The data subject may at any time:
- Withdraw consent to email monitoring by sending a written request to info@italplant.com, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Independently manage receipt of commercial and marketing communications using the “Manage your subscription” or “Unsubscribe” links at the bottom of marketing emails, sales emails and newsletters received.
Withdrawal of consent to monitoring does not automatically result in unsubscribing from commercial communications, just as managing subscription preferences does not necessarily replace a request to withdraw consent to monitoring.
