Maximum precision and axial control, engineered for maximum operational safety, with split-axis heads.

SAFETY MK2 orthogonal-axis indexing units deliver high positioning accuracy with zero backlash. The range supports twin-dwell cam profiles as well as multiple alternative cam laws, and is available with 1 to 32 stops (additional stop counts on request). Units are designed for high dynamic load capacity, with several centre-distance options to match different machine layouts.

Most configurations can also be supplied with special high-speed cam sets.

In addition, thanks to the S0TL patented and integrated safety system, the rotary table and the complete assembly are protected against impacts and jamming/overload events, ensuring maximum operational safety and eliminating unplanned production downtime.

Globoidal oscillators

The Italplant safety MK2 oscillator uses a cam-driven mechanism to generate an oscillating rotary output motion from a constant rotary input. One full revolution of the input shaft produces a standard oscillation cycle comprising two output motion phases in opposite directions, with dwell periods between them either included or omitted, depending on the configuration. The angular rotation (or swing) of the output shaft during each motion phase is referred to as the output stroke.
